At a very early age, James Taylor Jr. was blessed with the gift of communication.  God has allowed him to use this special gift thru Preaching, Christian rap, Comedy and Acting.  However, his gift has best served him, and the work of the Kingdom, as he preaches the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor JT, was born under seemingly insurmountable circumstances; both of his parents where addicted to drugs.  Every day of his young life he faced numerous trials and struggles on the harsh streets of Harlem, New York.  In spite of it all, at 13, his life took a new direction. He was taken under the loving arms of his grandmother, and through her love and guidance his walk with the Lord began and has flourished.

Through his relationship with God, Pastor JT was called to Calvary Revival Church - Norfolk as Youth Leader and  then Youth Minister for First Baptist Church – Hampton.  He also does work for the Billy Graham Association. He is working on his Bachelors in Religious Studies at the prestigious Hampton University and is now the pastor of Soul Central Church (soulcentralchurch.org) in Portsmouth, VA.  James is married to his lovely and beautiful wife Jackie, and together they have 5 wonderful children.

If you ask James what he feels God has called him to do, he will simple state, “Win the lost and strengthen the believer through the loving power of Jesus Christ!”
